In California, you can no longer put food waste in the trash. Yet most of the municipal facilities are woefully inadequate or non-existent to collect and recycle food waste. I have always purchased worms from this Uncle Jim’s Worm farm when I started a new bin but once I have a good compost going, I can give worms to friends or start a new pile with some of them. It doesn’t take long for them to multiply.
